South Vallco Area

Cupertino Square is coming together as a top notch shopping and
entertainment center we can all be proud of.

According to Cupertino’s Business Development Manager, Kelly Kline -
many new changes will soon be completed, while others are either on the
fast-track or on the radar. We can soon expect to see new restrooms, a new
police substation, new paint and a new 16 eatery Food Court; and California
Pizza Kitchen is expected to break ground in front of Sears on
Stevens Creek, very soon. The Daily reported that Steve & Barry’s is
scheduled to be completed this summer, and along with this trendy
store,  Hoffbrauhaus–a 400 seat beer hall hopes to debut
their second US location by the end of the year. Their first US beer
hall is in Las Vegas. While Islands restaurant has dropped out of building
in front of Sears, Kelly Kline reported that another restaurant is
expected take it place. We can also expect a state of the art 25,000 sq.ft.
fitness center to occupy part of the million sq. ft. center, making
Cupertino Square a vibrant major force in the retail/entertainment life of
Silicon Valley. It was also announced that the Rose Bowl property
across the street has plans to break ground soon. The mixed use
property was originally supposed to be Cupertino’s answer to Santana
Row. The last bit of Cupertino’s building puzzle is the HP property on
Stevens Creek where Toll Brothers was stopped by Measure E, from building a
mixed used project. The property has recently closed escrow and plans for
its development should be forthcoming in the very near future.
