BJ’s RESTAURANT & BREWHOUS
by Gloria Elle’
As anyone who’s been to BJ’s
for lunch, happy hour or dinner can attest–this is one of the most popular
places to dine in Cupertino and beyond. The food is good, portions are huge,
prices are right and there are many brews to choose from, including
root beer for non-drinkers.
Everyone who frequents BJ’s
has their own favorites, and we all know that varying from a fave is difficult.
However, the menu here is so extensive and new items appear on a regular basis,
so dare to choose food items that are a bit unusual.
Two of BJ’s newer dishes to
try are Parmesan Crusted Chicken, served with cheddar mashed potatoes and
steamed broccoli. It’s absolutely delicious. Another newby is a tasty Veggie
Burger served with Fries and the newest of the brand new is a - tah dah - White
Meat Turkey Burger with all the trimmings. Carnivores, of course, can still
count on the usual variety of "normal" Burgers prepared a variety of ways.
Salads abound and among the
many options are old staples like BJ’s Cobb, Sesame Chicken and Caesar. There’s
also an Italian Chopped Salad, Santa Fe and a few others. Pizza comes in both
Thick and Thin crusted. There are sides like Sweet Onion Strings, Potato Skins
and a ton of other food choices, including great soups.
And saving the best for last,
Dessert. The two best for us are Old-Fashioned Apple Crisp and the
indescribably ummm good Cookies ‘N Cream Pizookie - a house
specialty. BJ’s also has take-out,
delivery and offers catering.
