Dominic Caserta is the best equipped candidate for the 22nd
Assembly District because his platform is strong and inclusive of our
entire electorate. Rather than touting that his experience has helped
one group or another–Caserta’s combination of being a high school
teacher of Economics and Government for 11 years, as well as his 6
years as a Council Member of a good sized city give him the best on the
ground experience for the job of representing our 22nd State Assembly District
If this election was to represent either Cupertino–or as a
Supervisor in Santa Clara County the field would have been a more level
one. However, this job calls for a strong voice representing all of
Santa Clara County against tough opponents at the state level. The
floor is not level here.
This job takes a tough experienced person like Caserta who can also
forge alliances to bring all of us a better chance at Universal Health
Care, an experienced leader like Caserta who teaches students from all
backgrounds who can stand up to the Governor and his cronies and keep
their hands out of our school’s needed funding, as well an advocate who
can balance developer’s calls for more housing with our overburdened
infra-structure like overcrowded schools and not enough water.
A recent article by a “slash and burn” columnist from a local print
daily told voters to vote for another candidate he described as not
being the smartest. I don’t know about other voters, but I not only
want the smartest candidate, Dominic Caserta, I want the toughest who
has been endorsed, as he has by California Teachers, California Nurses,
and large tech companies who know he will fight to keep tomorrows
technology where it belongs, in Santa Clara County. What we don’’t need
is a candidate who can’t stand up and fight for our jobs, our kids and
our health.
If this isn’t enough, Dominic Caserta has been promoting–and
currently represents a city in the forefront of green technology.
Cupertino and, indeed–all of Santa Clara County needs Dominic Caserta
representing us in Sacramento. Elect Dominic Caserta on June 3.
