MAYOR DOLLY SANDOVAL GOES TO HARVARD

Henry T. Perea, president of the League of CA Cities-Latino Caucus,
reports that Cupertino Mayor Dolly Sandoval has been named the
recipient of the caucus’ $10,000 Harvard Fellowship Program.  The
award covers most for the costs for Sandoval to attend the three-week 2008 Harvard Kennedy School Program for Senior Executives in State and Local Government, designed especially for local elected officials.  She was chosen for her "demonstrated leadership on important policy issues in her community and long standing commitment
to her constituents on quality of life issues in the areas of education, housing and transportation."

The group is comprised of
30 participants ranging from elected officials, CEO’s at various governmental
levels. They are from: Iowa, Miami, Colorado, Sacramento, Chicago and two
participants are from Ireland.
