School for the Deaf Quota International of Cupertino grants this year will be
used by organizations with specially trained staff to help the deaf and
hard of hearing and disadvantaged women and children.
The grant money will:
1. Enable the Cupertino Union School District to purchase 2 listening
assessment tools and materials to help children 3 to 13 years of age.
2. Will assist Deaf Kids Camp to fund a camper.
3. Fund Jean Weingarten school speech pathologist to attend a workshop on
specialized needs addressing oral mechanisms.
4.The Pacific Autism Center will purchase listening devices for the new library.
5. Support Network for battered Women will fund shelter-based services for
women and children throughout the Santa Clara County.
6. Support the second year funding for West Valley Community Services for their
back-pack program for low-income children.
7. Sponsor the Relay for Life Cupertino Quota team at the Bronze Level.
